Ready for greatness, oh potential Marketing Powerhouse?

In this week’s Monday Marketing Minute (say that 3 times fast) on Facebook, I touched on what it takes to get your marketing on track- or become a Marketing Powerhouse.

As promised, I want to give you a few more ideas to make your marketing happen, and happen right.

1. Brand building

The first step in any marketing scheme is to build your business’ professional brand. A brand is what you stand for and what you’re all about. It’s intricately woven into reputation building and a necessity for even the smallest of businesses. We all have to stand for something- especially when we’re trying to sell a product or offer a service.

A brand helps us differentiate ourselves from our competition.

2. Marketing strategy

The second step in getting on track is build a killer marketing strategy based on what you stand for (your brand). That usually includes the development of an online presence like a website, but it can go a lot further than that. It’s equally important to note that you will need an online strategy as well as what I call a traditional marketing strategy. A traditional strategy is all about showing love to your customers once they’ve bought from you.

3. Evaluate your efforts

This is critical and often overlooked. When your business is busy, it is especially important to know where your business is coming from. Which of your marketing tactics is working? Make adjustments as you go (after a period of evaluation and review of course).

Marketing is all about testing! It takes time to see results more often than not, so be patient, be strategic and get on it!
